Peanut Butter Balls

A little delicious ball packed with nutrients. It is filled with protein and fibre from the peanut butter and flaxseed. You can have it as a quick pre-workout snack.

These little energy balls are so quick to make and can be stored for up to a week in the fridge. They are a perfect make ahead snack if you meal prep. If you’re vegan, you can still try these out. Simply substitute the honey for some agave and add some cacao nibs instead of chocolate chips. The original recipe is from here.

[ingredients]

  • 2/3 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp honey or agave

[method]

  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. Then place the bowl in the fridge to chill. This makes it easier to form them into balls.
  2. Roll the mixture into about 1 tbsp balls and if you want them to look a little prettier, add some extra chocolate chips on the outside. When you’re done keep them stored in the fridge.
